When it is grammatically correct to use "Either or" in a sentence.?

I remember someone telling me that I could pick out something. I said I'm not sure which one I want. He simply said, "either or." I'm telling you his whole sentence was just "Either or." Ever since, I've been pondering when and how I can use it in a sentence. Help me out but don't give me a sentence like "I could neither laugh nor cry." cause I remember a minute ago, I told you he just said "either or." and nothing else.
