What is taught in a high school philosophy class?

I've been having second thoughts about signing up for a philosophy course my senior year. I thought it might be interesting because I could learn about the ancient philosophers and how they influenced the development of the present world, but actually I have no interest in pondering answers to the "big questions" since I'm more of a concrete thinker. What do philosophy classes focus on? Would it be worth it for me for me to take the class?
