Not sure wither I should stay here or go there? Nothing to lose in either place?

Certainly you have friends or family out there somewhere who can offer support. I'd go to where you have the most spiritual and moral support. You also need to consider the job market. You need to go where your specialty is in demand. The economy isn't going to make your job search easy no matter where you go.
