How should I prepare dried kratom leaves alternative medicine?

I have dried kratom leaves thatvare partially broke down like crumbled leaves,no stems. Earlier i took five grams and used my coffee grinder to gring it up,then I got a gatorade bottle and poured lemonade in it due to the high acidity and then funneled the kratom into the Gatorade bottle. Shook the contents for about ten minutes. This is not extract, it is leaves, is my method the best way or should I boil water and make a tea like extract? dissolving contents into water once grinded? Please tell best methods from experience.
