I would like to go to an Ivy League school. How can I begin to prepare for it?

Everyone applying to the top schools has the highest grades in the hardest classes and very high test scores, and Harvard took 6% of applicants this year. You need all that and a lot more to get in. The 'lot more' would be best if it were related to your major, something unique and impressive, and something that makes you stand out. They don't require a 4.0 - having one doesn't mean you'll get in, and not having one doesn't mean you won't. Right now, you don't have anything that makes you stand out, and you haven't listed any good reasons for attending a top school ('it's really impressive' or 'it's the only good school I've heard of' are not good reasons).
