Do animals have souls?

I've been pondering this question for quite some time now. The Bible says nothing about them having a soul. Actually I would feel pretty bad if my puppy couldn't join me in Heaven. But then I think there was something in the Bible that God will ride down on a white horse in the end of the world. I just want to know if you think animals go to Heaven.
