Thread take up lever on my brother lx-3125 sewing machine is stuck and won't move at all..please help!?

I was about to sew a garment last week and as i pressed on the foot control nothing happened it just made a droning sound and i tried to move it with the hand wheel but the same thing happened it just won't move and i don't know how to fix it.Please only insightful answers thank you.
